Jessica is a seasoned project manager with over 18 years of regional expertise, deftly navigating the realms of pre-sales, projects, and products. A startup guru, she strategically positions real estate software in Asia, boosting sales and forging strong client bonds through innovative leadership. Thriving on high-energy landscapes, she’s the force behind successful project deliveries and unwavering focus amid challenges.

Let’s get to know her better.

What do you like most about your job?

I love problem solving together with my teammates, be it a challenging client or implementing a new product for our first Asia client.

What do you love to do when you’re not working?

On those days where I am not working, you can see me cycling or running along park connector at the east side of Singapore!

What do you love most about the real estate industry?

The real estate industry is fascinating for so many reasons.

To name one thing that I love most is the realization of one’s dreams and aspirations; from finding the ideal space for the tenants to entrepreneurs investing their visions, and seeing the PropTech community growing and evolving.

It is rewarding to see how the transformations and the impact of a well-developed property can have on individuals and businesses.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?

Boracay, in the Philippines, where I would love to spend the weekend soaking under the sun and chilling along the white sandy beaches.

What’s your favourite Yardi product and why?

Yardi’s Elevate Forecast Manager stands out as a frontrunner in my favourite list at the moment!

This stellar product harnesses the power of financial, leasing, and construction data. What makes it a gem is how it layers forecast parameters like asset types, regions, and trade categories to craft spot-on projections.

The user experience is the game changer the former self – Advanced Budgeting Forecasting. Forecast Manager is a co-pilot for our asset analysts. With interactive dashboards, it’s like having a crystal ball to foresee areas needing projection or having a personal assistant pointing out errors and exceptions before they become headaches.

It’s this blend of sophistication and user-friendliness that makes Forecast Manager a standout Yardi module in my list.

Favourite movie of all time?

This is an impossible task for me, but when it comes to TV, Ally McBeal is my all-time favourite! There’s something about that show—its quirky humor, the relatable characters, and the way it blends comedy with a touch of whimsy — that keeps me hooked episode after episode.

Name a good quality you see in yourself and a quality that you appreciate in other people/colleagues?

Bring on the challenges—I thrive on them! When the going gets tough, that’s when I’m in my element.

I absolutely love collaborating with colleagues who are all about stepping up, and guess what? That chemistry we create is electric! It’s what gets us pumped to launch projects and deliver that experience for our clients!

Let us know a unique fact about yourself!

One unique fact about me is my journey through storytelling.

From primary school to high school, I delved into the captivating world of storytelling contests, weaving tales that captured imaginations and earned a collection of awards along the way.

I enjoy the journey of crafting narratives that resonate and brings my listeners to different realms.

Top tip for keeping clients happy?

Active listening is like my top tip for keeping clients happy. When we truly tune in, it’s not just about hearing; it’s about understanding. By engaging in active listening, we show genuine interest and respect for their thoughts and concerns.

If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower? And where would you use it?

If I were a superhero, I’d want the power of “Omnilingualism.”

I would feel formidable being able to understand and speak every language on Earth fluently. I’d use this power to bridge cultural gaps, negotiate peace in conflicts, connecting with people on a deeper level. Its like having a universal translator but with a cape!

What is your favourite piece of technology and why?

I’m absolutely love Internet of Things (IoT)!

I can kick-start my trusty robotic vacuum while I’m still at the office and, by the time I stroll through my front door at the end of the day, voilà! Clean floors, as if by magic, ready to welcome me home.

What could you not do without in your life?

My trusty sidekicks, my contact lenses, and spectacles, battle my myopia with a power level of 1000. They’re the keys to unlocking a world brimming with outdoor escapades. Without them, my outdoor adventures would become a blurry mystery…

What’s your favourite thing to eat?

Sugar Glazed Donut.

It’s not just a snack; it’s a delightful moment of sweetness that I treasure together with my late mom. This simple joy, shared over a delicious treat, creates heartwarming memories that make every bite even more special.

Do you have a favorite quote or life’s motto?

“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.” – Bobby Unser

This quote encapsulates the essence of stepping up to the occasion. It emphasizes the importance of being prepared and ready to seize the moment when opportunity presents itself.
