Value-Add Forum

With continued competition for core assets in top Asian markets, more investors are turning to value-add strategies to create yield in top regional markets.

To explore how developers and fund managers are using repositioning, regeneration and redevelopment to create value in core markets, Mingtiandi is organising an online forum dedicated to value-add strategies in the region.

The three-part series of events will bring together top players from within the region and around the globe, to explain their recent projects and foretell the future of value-add during March and April 2021. All three events will be held via Mingtiandi’s industry-leading MTD TV online video platform.

30th March: Value-Add Forum 2021 10:00AM (HKT) – Spotlight Interview with value-add market leader

The first panel in the Asia Value-Add Forum is dedicated to the growing value-add sector in mainland China, where fund managers and developers are finding ways to rejuvenate existing assets as sites in core locations become more challenging to acquire. The one-hour panel discussion will focus on acquisitions and disposals, as well as on repositioning and leasing strategies. 

7th April: Value-Add Forum 2021 10:00AM (HKT) – Panel: Buy, Fix and Sell: How it Works in China

The first panel in the Asia Value-Add Forum is dedicated to the growing value-add sector in mainland China, where fund managers and developers are finding ways to rejuvenate existing assets as sites in core locations become more challenging to acquire. 12th April: Value-Add Forum 2021 10:00AM (HKT) – Panel: Re-Use and Regeneration in Asia’s Core Markets

The Asia Value-Add Forum’s second panel focuses on successful strategies for creating returns in Hong Kong, Singapore and other core cities around Asia, where new development opportunities have become increasingly limited. The participants will have the opportunity to present completed cases and share their priorities for creating value post-pandemic.

Multi-family Investment Forum

As the COVID-19 pandemic has cast a pall over the prospects for investments globally, investments in the rental residential sector jumped by 157 percent during the first six months of 2020, compared to a year earlier.

To better understand the outlook for Asia’s multi-family sector in 2021, Mingtiandi is organising the Multi-family Investment Forum 2021 as an online gathering of the region’s leading experts on rental apartment investment.

All three sessions will be held via Mingtiandi’s industry-leading MTD TV online video platform with the forum spanning rental apartment platforms as well as student housing and co-living.

4th May: Multi-family Investment Forum 2021 10:00AM (HKT)- Spotlight Interview with multi-family market leader

The Multi-Family Investment Forum is led by a one-hour interview spotlighting the experiences and insights of a market leader. Mingtiandi founder Michael Cole will interview a top executive of the company live, while attendees will have the opportunity to join a question-and-answer session after the talk.

11th May: Multi-family Investment Forum 2021 10:00AM (HKT) – Panel: Multi-Family Investment in Greater China

A combination of government support and high homeownership costs have set the stage for a fast-growing multi-family residential sector in mainland China, while Hong Kong’s region-leading housing values create opportunities for investment returns. The panel will bring together some of the region’s leading experts on rental housing opportunities in Asia’s largest real estate market.

18th May: Multi-family Investment Forum 2021 10:00AM (HKT) – Panel: Multi-Family Investment in Japan

With its young professionals increasingly turning to city-centre rentals, Japan has built the region’s largest multi-family sector, with some of the world’s largest investors buying portfolios of apartments in Tokyo and other major cities for their rental returns.

The panel will bring together some of the most experienced experts on Japan’s rental housing markets to share their experiences and expectations.
